MWC Stage 5

The end of the good run tonight! Absolutely cooked and no legs! This happened last year at stage 4, and unfortunately just didn't have it!

Got dropped towards the top of the first climb and ended up with Planturuex and Knudsen. I knew immediately this was going to be really bad for the team given Vengaboys and ZDR both had 3 in the lead group! So ended up being a solid 1:45 TT.

Worked with Planta for over an hour, he was definitely stronger, but this helped keep our speed respectable, but man it was a long slog. Just never felt my usual groove out there. I think some of the power numbers for 80+ mins are among my best ever, but I know i'm capable of alot more when things go properly!

I lost around 3 mins to the back of the initial group of 17. Not too bad considering how much draft they had between 10 and 43km. This puts us back into 4th place, 1 min behind ZDR and 1 min ahead of Vengaboys. Should be a good battle, but definitely not looking forward to the ITT atm! Will be a tough course for me!
