Grassdune is operated by Wattsinside. For this policy, references to Grassdune (“we”, “us”, or “our”) mean Wattsinside as the responsible entity and data controller for the Grassdune platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use Grassdune.

If you choose to connect a third-party device or service, or manually upload activities, we may collect and store activity data including:

Grassdune allows users to publish activities, similar to publishing a post or entry.
You control whether an activity is published or kept private.
Grassdune does not sell, rent, or resell your personal or activity data and does not share raw activity data from connected devices with third parties.
If you connect a third-party device or service (such as Garmin Connect, Zwift, or similar platforms):
When access is revoked, Grassdune will stop importing new data from that device or service. Previously imported activities will remain on Grassdune unless you delete them, change their visibility, or request account deletion. Grassdune only accesses data fields that you explicitly authorize.
If you choose to connect Garmin Connect to Grassdune, Grassdune uses the Garmin Activity API to import activity files and related activity metadata that you authorize through Garmin Connect. Grassdune does not request Garmin Health API, Training API, or Courses API access.
Garmin data we may collect includes your Garmin API user identifier, OAuth access and refresh tokens, permission information, activity file notifications, FIT activity files, activity name, activity type, start time, duration, distance, route/GPS data, elevation, speed, pace, heart rate, cadence, power, calories, device name or model, and other activity fields included in the authorized Garmin Activity API file.
We use Garmin data to connect your Garmin account, automatically import authorized activities into Grassdune, display those activities in your activity list, feeds, and activity pages according to your visibility settings, calculate and display activity metrics, preserve the original activity file for reprocessing or troubleshooting, and operate, secure, and support the Garmin integration.
Garmin data is stored in Grassdune databases and file storage used to operate the service. Imported Garmin activities remain in Grassdune until you delete the activity or request account deletion. Disconnecting Garmin stops new imports and revokes the Garmin connection, but it does not automatically delete activities that were already imported.
Grassdune does not sell Garmin data and does not share raw Garmin activity files with advertisers or data brokers. Garmin data may be processed by service providers that help us operate Grassdune, including hosting, database, file storage, logging, security, email, and notification infrastructure providers. These providers process data for Grassdune's service operations and not for their own advertising or resale purposes.
Grassdune does not automatically send Garmin activity files, route data, or activity metrics to third-party AI services. If you voluntarily use an optional AI writing feature and include Garmin-derived information in text submitted to that feature, that submitted text may be processed by our AI service provider to generate or edit the notes you requested. Grassdune does not use Garmin data to train its own AI models.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including secure storage and access controls. While no system is completely secure, we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
Some third-party integrations or infrastructure providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied.
