Leg opener/ Primer or Activation - for what and when should we do it exactly?
When I train consistently throughout the week, I almost never need a leg opener before racing. The system is already “online” every day through movement, load, blood flow and regular activation.
But after 3 days of education, sitting indoors, traveling and barely moving? Different story. The body may be recovered… but not necessarily ready and primed to perform yet.
So today was less about training and more about waking the system back up again ⚡️
A few efforts to remind the legs, nervous system and brain:
“Hey… we race tomorrow.”
It’s simply creating the conditions for the body to access the performance that is already there.
It is important to understand when the body needs stress and when it needs activation, rhythm and flow again ✨
